AutismOklahoma.org began in Edmond in May 2002 when 2 families began a parent support group. The parent support groups meet monthly and provide a way for families to learn and support each other. Today, AutismOklahoma.org has 5 parent support group across Oklahoma including:
- Edmond
- Canadian Valley
- Stillwater
- Oklahoma City
- Muskogee
Since summers can be a tough time of the year for children and parents who have a family member with autism. AutismOklahoma.org provides a variety of ways to connect with families during the summer months including:
- Camp Noggin
- Camp Noggin Teen Edition
- Summer Advance: Get Ready for College
- Summer Advance: Colorado
Each of these programs allows kids to have a fun camp experience with social and learning opportunities.

Some other programs offered by AutismOklahoma.org provide ways to engage the general community. The following programs raise awareness and education about autism while raising money for our causes:

Paying it forward is a fundamental philosophy of AutismOklahoma.org. Autism Oklahoma is committed to stimulatinggood ideas and programs for persons and families affected by autism. For the past 2 years, we have awarded $87,500 in grants from monies raised by the PieceWalk. Our recipients include public universities in Oklahoma providing research and education, private schools, public entities, parent support groups, and organizations that provide assistive devices. All of our recipients are providing quality programs that will improve life in our state for kids with autism.
